The researchers in South Africa have uncovered 2 million old skeletons. As per the sources and experts, this can lead to a research in a new and different branch of the family tree. These species were the species that preceded the modern human race. This skeleton couple which comprises of an adult female and a juvenile male is really a sensational excavation that will open new doors of research in the world of archaeology and excavation.
This excavation is by far the most significant excavation after the excavation of Lucy, a 3 million old skeleton that was discovered in Ethiopia in the year 1974. These two are tall and strong compared to the earlier discovery. These skeletons will open new areas in the little defined period of the evolution.
As per the leading researcher in the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, dr lee Berger, this discovery is so path breaking that it is virtually like making an entry into the time machine. He further added that this discovery will provide a special vision in the area of hominid evolution that was existent at that time.
These skeletons have been recovered from a cave that was partially collapsed. As per the sources, two more skeletons have been discovered alongwith these skeletons. These skeletons are called partial skeletons and have not been excavated yet. As per dr Paul dirks of James cook university of Australia, the pair might have fallen into cave in search of water.
