The most admired search engine Google is scheduling to extend its reach among its viewers. They are on a verge to start TV service to bring the Web to TV screens. In the initial phase they will launch it in USA and subsequently within a year they will present it to World audience. However Americans can view it from this month only.

The service will allow full Internet browsing via television, it would be free, and Google would work with a range of program producer and electronic firm to bring it to customers.

According to CEO Eric Schmidt “We will work with content providers, but it is very unlikely that we will get into actual content production.”
The deal between Sony and Google has been finalized and deal with Samsung is on commencing stage. Sony is ready to load application of Google TV on its gadgets and its competitor Samsung on is on a verge to launch the service.

The statement comes within a week once competitor Apple uncovered its newest Apple TV product and will exaggerate a clash for client’s consideration for the $180 billion worldwide TV marketing advertises.

Schmidt also said Google would proclaim joint venture later this year with manufacturer of tablet computers that would use Google’s Chrome operating system, due to be launched soon, pretty than its Android phone software, which has been used for mobile devices until now.
California based company “The Mountain View”, is planning to make Chrome, which will compete with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox, the centre of an operating system that would offer a substitute to Microsoft Windows.

The world’s No 1 search engine is tracking for new income prospect as growth in its core Internet selling slows and as new technologies such as smart phones and social networking services alter the way consumers access the Web.

When asked about condemnation over Google’s Street View in Germany, CEO Schmidt said he had estimated and accounted it and he had talks with some authorized members of the German government.

Google’s Street View cars are popular for crisscrossing the orb and captivating panoramic pictures of the city streets, which the corporation displays in its online Maps product.

Columnist and critics say the device encourage maltreatment. They squabble on the fact that thieves can explore or mark the idea of burglary, safety measures firms could use the data for sales pitches, professionals might find their homes examined by corporation and business houses, and banks could look over the abode of loan claimant.

The problem came to the Google when Germany government found out that Street View vehicles were collecting confidential data and later sent over unencrypted WiFi networks.

Southeast Asia’s biggest telecom company Singapore Telecommunications is improbably to bid for Cable and Wireless Worldwide, the firm desires to focus on the Asia Pacific province, said Citigroup on Tuesday.

After a meeting with the Singapore firm, Pineda and Ravi Sarathy, Citi analysts Arthur said in a note to patrons that, “SingTel had clarified its preference to focus on acquisitions in the Asia Pacific region where it can build scale and drive revenue growth via penetration. This to us indicates that there is likely to be limited interest on the part of SingTel in acquiring C&W Worldwide, contrary to UK press reports.”

Since a revenue warning in July the shares of C&W grow to their highest level on Monday after a weekend report in the news paper, it said that the bid was considering by the Singapore firm.

Effective from Oct 3, Google on Friday announced that it will be streamlining its privacy policy. The search engine is removing redundant sections and launching a new privacy policy and it is not going to make any material changes to its policy.

Mike Yang, associate general counsel at Google, wrote in a blog post, “Long, complicated and lawyerly that’s what most people think about privacy policies, and for a good reason”. “So we are simplifying and updating Google’s privacy policies.”

The two different type of changes Google will make, it includes deleting 12 product-specific policies which the company finds repetitive. Yang wrote, “These changes are also in line with the way information is used between certain products – for example, since contacts are shared between services like Gmail, Talk, Calendar and Docs, it makes sense for those services to be governed by one privacy policy as well”.

Google also plans to make phrasing more user-friendly and cut out some of the more redundant languages. Yang said, “For example, we’re deleting a sentence that reads: ‘The affiliated sites through which our services are offered may have different privacy practices and we encourage you to read their privacy policies,’ since it seems obvious that sites not owned by Google might have their own privacy policies”.

He said, Google will also add a new privacy tools page Google Privacy Center so that “our most popular privacy tools are now in one place”. Now Google has a preview of the updated version online and it will replace the existing version on Oct 3.

Yang concluded, “Our undated privacy policies still might not be your top choice for beach reading (I am, after all, still a lawyer), but hopefully you’ll find the improvements to be a step in the right direction”. From a California based consumer group Google’s privacy policy came under fire. Similar to “do not call” lists, the group wants Congress to enact “don’t track me” legislation.

Google settled a class-action case regarding its Buzz social-networking feature on Friday. Around $8.5 million the company will hand over, which after covering expenses and attorneys fees will be given to Internet privacy and education groups.
