As per the precision environmental reports of the globo news, a terrific and devastating landslide made a strike in the city of Niteroi this city is located across the bay and is part of the greater Rio metropolitan area. Immediately was a call for the firefighter rescue team from the office of the mayor.
This natural calamity has been one of the most complicated calamities in the entire major down pours in the south eastern brazil that have taken place since half a century. The death toll in this natural disaster has been estimated upto 133 since the Monday of this week.
As per the reports, there has been an intense flood since Monday to such an extent that the people have been advised by the government authorities to stay inside the doors. The government has issued strict warnings to the people not to roam in the downtown areas. The reason behind this is the impassable condition in the streets and the danger of loss of life under such condition.
As per the key information from the rescue teams, there are as many as fifty-eight people that are missing and apart from this 135 are battling for their lives. As per the information from the mayor of Rio Mr. Eduardo peas, there has been a negative impact on the means of transportation since the roads are transformed into lakes because of such a heavy down pour. The life of many residents and commuters is has been paralyzed in such a situation.
